Samwise Gamgee's Salt Box/Seasoning Box
prusaprinters

My attempt on Sam's seasoning box from Lord of The Rings.

Lid was printed upside down with supports to keep the inside of the box smooth. First 6 layers (about 1 mm) printed green, then filaments were switched.
Body was printed also with supports (under the the hinge), but they are not necessary (I may add a version with slanted support under the hinge in the future). Hook without supports.

Box on the photo was printed scaled to 70% of original size. Small problem occurred during printing - hinge hole was originally 1 mm wide, scaled then 0.7 mm, but the final hole was too small to fit any kind of wire and was sometimes jammed, so some drilling had to be made (1.2 mm drill bit used - smallest one I had). Otherwise works pretty fine.

Attention: Parts in .stl files are not oriented right for printing. Use common sense while orienting them. Thanks.

Printing settings:
Printed on Prusa MK3S using PLA named PLA+ Desert Beige and PLA+ Woodland Green from Filament PM. Resolution 0.2mm (0.4 mm nozzle), supports as described above, no raft, 15 % infill, 2 perimeters.
