Samurai Biker Scout
thingiverse
I am a proud member of the 501st Legion, serving as a Biker Scout, and I've always dreamed of creating a Samurai-inspired version of this iconic costume from Star Wars. After months of meticulous planning and hard work, I'm thrilled to share my latest project with the community. The entire costume is crafted from 3D printed parts, requiring precision and patience to bring it all together. In addition to printing, sewing and time-consuming lacing played a significant role in this ambitious build. I drew inspiration from the website Sengokudaimyo.com, specifically from their katchu section, where they provide detailed tutorials on creating traditional Samurai armor. My goal was to stay true to the original design while making necessary adjustments for wearability and to ensure it resembles the classic Biker Scout costume. If you have any questions or would like more information about this project, please don't hesitate to ask – I'd be happy to share my expertise. To see the step-by-step build process and high-quality photos, visit my Flickr album: https://www.flickr.com/photos/mrpoopie/albums/72157692848687314. I've also included a PDF guide with basic printing instructions and assembly guidelines for those interested in creating their own Samurai Biker Scout costume. As of January 22nd, 2019, I've added a comprehensive PDF document to my build page, covering the basics of what to print and how the printed parts come together. However, please note that this document is meant to supplement the original tutorial on Sengokudaimyo.com, which provides in-depth instructions for assembly and most of the finish work, particularly the lacing.
