SAMSUNG T5 SSD Dock

The SAMSUNG T5 boasts incredibly fast transfer speeds. I'm thrilled to report that by installing a USB-C PCIe card in my aging motherboard, I'm now able to transfer files from my internal SSD to the T5 at an impressive 480 MB/s. However, the ultra-short cable provided with the SSD creates a cumbersome experience when paired with a mid-tower workstation. To resolve this issue, I ordered a Deltaco 1m / 3.2ft long USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 male to male cable and designed a dock that can be mounted underneath my table. I even took it a step further by printing a custom dock for my TV, making it effortless to switch between the two devices. The plug of my cable measures 12.44mm by 6.64mm, fitting perfectly into the dock. Since no USB cables are identical, I designed a special retention clip that serves as both a holder and mount, adjustable to accommodate different thicknesses. To assemble the dock: 1. Insert the cable into the dock. 2. Plug in the SSD. 3. Attach the retention clip. 4. Hold down the retention clip firmly while pulling out on the SSD. If the cable stays put, you're good to go! 5. Secure the dock using two wood screws (check out the pictures for a visual guide).
