Samsung SmartThing Motion Sensor Corner Bracket
thingiverse
This is a simple bracket design for attaching a Samsung SmartThings Motion Sensor to a wall corner. The motion sensor's slow reaction time when placed flat on the wall due to my garage door location prompted me to create this design, allowing it to face outward and view the door directly. Two small 3M Command Strips secure the bracket to the wall, while a single small strip attaches the motion sensor mounting plate to the bracket. You can also attach with screws if you rotate the motion sensor and plate. This is my first published project, and I must confess that my CAD skills are still developing. The model may appear slightly misaligned, but it works perfectly for my needs. Hopefully, others will find this useful. Update (7/30/2016): A second design with a minimalist approach has been added. This version should print faster and use less material but may be more prone to dislodging from the wall if bumped or impacted. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.30 Infill: 20% Notes: Printing this model upright minimizes stringing between peaks.
