I made this for my car where there's a flat surface on the dashboard so it can fit perfectly, and you can also use it anywhere else with a flat surface. My phone slides in from the side; the power button is within easy reach but the volume buttons aren't since they're blocked by the stand; the grooves in the stand prevent accidental contact with those buttons. Print out this part, to give the surfaces some shine I used aceton vapor finishing - note that this works only on ABS plastic, use caution when trying it elsewhere as there's a lot of info online about doing this correctly.
