Samsung S20 Ultra Cases
thingiverse
Case variations for the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra are being considered. Fits, styles, and additional STLs (Stereolithography files) are desired to expand the collection. **Planned Features:** Other S20 Models Skin variations with style will be developed, rather than just a plain skin. Mesh Original additional styles are also planned. It is unclear whether to continue with skins or proceed with mesh designs. **Update 3/23/20:** A new "Skin" variation, version 16, called the remesh has been added. This thin skin is flexible and easy to remove from the phone. It features a hump on the back for the camera. Unfortunately, this design requires supports during printing and lacks the ability to use SVG files on its surface. The remesh is not impact resistant, like other designs. However, it feels like the native S20 but provides protection against scratches. More variations will be added later. **Frame Test:** The current iteration of the case has been exported with the center plastic removed for fit testing purposes. This allows for testing without wasting material. **With Button Strap:** This design features a few layers above the side buttons to secure the top right corner of the case. However, this results in harder-to-use buttons due to the added layers. **Without Button Strap:** The opposite approach has been taken, with no layers above the buttons for a smooth feel. Unfortunately, this design feels less secure at the top right corner. **With Back Cut For Supports:** This variation features the entire back cut out slightly, allowing users to print with supports and create a textured back. The supports can be left in place for a grid pattern or removed for a more general layering effect. **Accents and Case:** To print accents, start by printing them individually at ultra-high quality and set the layer height to 0.1 so that only two total layers are printed. Keep the bed and nozzle hot between changes, using this opportunity to switch colors if necessary. Print the accents in the order they appear on the label to avoid dragging the nozzle over existing parts. The case layer should be 0.2 height to ensure the accent is under the nozzle on the second layer. **V16 Remesh:** This design no longer uses mesh-based corners and features a solid body instead. It provides only scratch resistance, making it a "skin" rather than a protective case. Print this variation face down with supports for optimal results, as it may take some time to complete.
