Samsung Odyssey+ Wall Hook

Note: This was designed for the Odyssey+. The angle of attachment of the halo band is not the same on the O+ as the original Odyssey. It's possible that the hook will still work with the original Odyssey, but I don't have one on hand to test, so I can't say for sure. This is a wall hook I created for the Samsung Odyssey+ HMD. I wanted a wall hook that would hold the headset in a similar orientation to my Vive Pro (HMD facing upwards), and was not satisfied with the other options available. This hook does not hold any of the weight of the headset using the foam face gasket (which might be compressed over time), or place support anywhere in the vicinity of the lenses. Most of the HMD's weight is supported by a small protrusion that sits in the solid plastic of the nose opening. A fork then extends out and the prongs grip the headset to either side of the connection to the halo band. Once placed on the hook, the HMD is held securely from movement in all directions, and can't accidentally be knocked off. The hook also doubles as a holder for the HMD cord. When placing the headset on the hook, first wrap up your cord and place it on the hook. Then hold the headset close to the wall and lower it until the nose hook engages, and finally lower it down onto the fork. I have verified that the hook works with both the the standard O+ foam, and also the VR Cover replacement.
