I reconfigured this model to be compatible with both Canon EOS M and Samsung NX500 cameras. I can now fit both cameras within the design. Keep in mind that the original model is quite challenging to edit, but my revised version inherits the same difficulty. I have uploaded Sketchup files for you to modify as needed. The "overview model" serves solely as a preview, showing how the built gimbal will look like when completed. Exporting STL files from this model is strongly discouraged due to its limited functionality. Instead, use the separate model files for adjustments or to export as an STL file. You might want to manipulate certain parts to lay them flat on the printbed during printing. I employed anti-vibration rubber dampers sourced from Ebay under each of the top four holders, found here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/10pcs-Anti-Vibration-Rubber-Damper-Damping-Ball-for-Gimbal-Gopro-DJI-Camera-/311703174366. The pictures shown are from different iterations of this gimbal design as I have rebuilt it numerous times to achieve the desired outcome. The Electronics section comprises: - Motors: All three axes are equipped with Dys BGM4108-130T motors. - Storm32-BGC serves as a gimbal controller, accompanied by NT sensor modules, which enable serial connection of IMUs. This setup significantly reduces wiring requirements. The time spent tuning this system was substantial. 4S Battery power is provided via the hexacopter's PDB (Power Distribution Board). The Print Settings include: Notes: These are the settings that worked effectively for me. You may find alternative settings yield better results. Initially, I printed in PLA but discovered it to be insufficiently durable, leading to excessive vibrations during operation. The recommended material turned out to be "proto pasta carbon fiber HTPLA", which delivered improved stability. Print settings used: - Nozzle: 0.6mm - Unified bottom and back motor holder: 30% fill rate - All other parts: 20% fill rate - Top/bottom thickness: 1.2mm - Wall thickness: 1.2mm Personal note for myself regarding the cradle nipple-right, which interacts with the bearing: walls = top = bottom = 1.2mm; nozzle = 0.6mm; infill = 20%; print speed = 50%
