This customized holder is designed for Samsung Nexus and Galaxy 2 phones with soft silicon sleeves. Once printed, insert the micro USB cable through the square hole at the base and slide the phone down to meet it before pushing it all the way till it seats. Apply super glue around the micro USB plug and the square hole to secure it in place, then carefully withdraw the phone. Additional glue or silicone can be used to fill any voids for a permanent positioning of the plug. The holder features four holes at the back for attaching a cheap Samsung car holder from eBay, which comes with a suction cup for the windscreen or vent mount. The price is around $14 and fits the phone holder with a rectangle part that locks in positively. A larger recess and thin channel are also included for an antenna coil found on eBay, allowing the use of an exterior car antenna. The cable can exit from under the mount through the channel. The prototype is in natural color, while the finished product will be in black. The aftermarket clip for the back is shown in photos, but the glass suction cap part was discarded. Instead, a small mount that slides over an existing Nokia mount in the car was made. This aftermarket part is adjustable for angle and rotation once you have the mounting plate that clips to the holder. Finally, there's a recess for your thumb to help slide the phone out of the holder, which wasn't shown in prototype photos.
