Samsung J7 Galaxy Holder for 2011 Ford Escape
thingiverse
I had a Samsung J3 that I cracked the screen on, so I ordered a $20 replacement screen that would arrive in two weeks or upgrade for $60 to the Samsung J7. After installing a Pioneer App Radio capable headunit, I liked the Google Map Nav but found it wasn't the fastest. However, when driving normally, I don't use nav and just place my phone in the console, which was fine for the J3 but slightly larger for the J7. To solve this issue, I designed a mount that fits in the old location with an additional spot above to hold the J7, and it worked perfectly. This is a tight fit, so I had to ensure the base of the holder was sanded smooth to prevent it from being loose and bouncing around the vehicle. Now, I can easily get into my car and drop the J7 into the holder again, then plug in the USB cable to my headunit.
