Samsung Gear VR SM-R323N Low-poly 3D model
cgtrader
It's a high-quality, low-poly 3D model of the Samsung Gear VR SM-R323N used in various fields like game development, advertising, interior design, motion picture art, visualization, and more. The modeling process was based on ortho-photos of the real VR headset, resulting in authentic recreation of all design details. Ease of use is facilitated by the fact that the model consists of two meshes, making it low-polygonal (saving system resources) and featuring two materials for Lenses and Google body parts. A competently thought-out topology low-poly model combined with detailed textures enables a minimal number of polygons to achieve maximum quality, suitable even for close-ups. To enhance advanced realism, additional textures are used: Specular, Glossiness, and Bump. When using the V-Ray renderer and V-Ray MTL material set BRDF Type as Phong for correct glossiness effect, and Fresnel IOR 5 for correct reflecting effect, it's also recommended to set Bump Multiplier at 0.1-0.2 for optimal Bump depth. The Specular and Glossiness maps are used to depict different reflective and dispersing capacities of various areas of the model, giving an effect as if multiple materials were used. There are four main textures with a total resolution of 4096 pixels square in .png format. Original texture files in .PSD format are also included in the archive. The model is presented in two basic poses: demo pose and use-on-human-head pose for the 3D human model. It was created using the 'Maya 2009' 3D program with correct dimensions in real-world scale, accurately grouped and named parts. An adjusted render-scene is provided, created in Maya 2014 with V-Ray 2.40 plug-in, which correctly opens in earlier versions up to Maya 2012 with V-Ray 2.0, saved as a .ma format file. The scene includes 6 V-Ray Rect Light + reflectors, and the V-Ray MTL material is assigned to the model. On Timeline, set keys of model and Render Camera position relevant to Preview Images. If these positions are not needed, delete animation keys from translation and rotation channels. To visualize more realism and understand material characteristics, a HDRI scene is also rendered for better presentation understanding but it's not included in the sale. Scenes saved in .fbx, .obj, .DAE, and .max(2010) formats are available for use in other 3D programs. Note: This model is designed as Low-Poly and isn't suited for using any smoothing modifiers.
