thingiverse
Printed without supports or rafts. Two separate parts fit tightly, with a tolerance of 0.2mm between them. Welding or gluing is required to join them securely. Printer Settings: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Raft and Support Options: No raft was used. No support structures were added. Resolution: 0.2mm layer thickness Infill Percentage: Not applicable Post-Printing Assembly Instructions: The parts fit together snugly, requiring some adjustments to ensure a secure bond. To facilitate assembly, I shaved off excess PLA material using an Xacto knife in strategic areas. For the black and red version of this case, I applied a matte finish and improved grip by spraying the black piece with plasti-dip before assembly. To join the parts together, I employed a soldering iron to weld extruded PLA filament onto the backside of the case, where it remains hidden when the phone is in place. Design Process: This design was created using Autodesk Maya.
