The design is specifically created for use with a Speck case on your smartphone. There's no need to remove the case when using this stand. If your phone with its case measures 12mm thick, you should be good to go. The stand features a slot for micro-USB charging and a cable guide directing the charger out the back. Please note that the STL file may import in an unusual orientation in MakerWare. Simply rotate it +120 degrees in the X axis and move it -32mm along the Z axis. Alternatively, you can rotate it in the Z direction to view the front of the case. This design was inspired by ppollioni's Desk Stand but not based on his files. It was designed from scratch using SolidWorks. I printed mine with 3 shells, 15% infill, and .1mm layer height, which took 7.5 hours due to the desired solidity of the stand. However, you can also print it with 10%, 2 shells, and .2mm layer height for a shorter printing time. Remember to print without a raft but with supports. The phone section requires supports for proper printing.
