Create a custom adapter for your GS3 with a hard case by using a ball joint from Thingiverse's design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:67911). Attach it to the generic car mount base and glue it onto your existing thing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:30104). A 60mm wide version is also available if needed, while a 33mm one seems stable. You can try a 60mm version with an attached back plate, but it hasn't been printed yet. The original car mount from DealExtreme was used for its base in designing this new mount. Design the mounting plate using Tinkercad (https://tinkercad.com/things/ey6zez7az3J).
