I wasn't too thrilled with the standard Samsung dock for my current smartphone, so I chose to create my own customized model instead. In order for this dock to truly be effective, I believed that all features should still function while the phone is secured in the docking station itself. As a result, I carved out some openings from back to front on the exterior of the dock to allow sound emanate from the front end – this design seems to work even more effectively than I initially envisioned it would be capable of. I also wanted to ensure that I could use the original charger cord for this customized docking station, which is why I engineered a mechanism that securely holds the plug inside.
