Samsung Galaxy J5 car mount

When my son needed a car mount for his Samsung Galaxy J5, I came up with this design. The goal was to create something that would rest securely on a non-slip mat on a flat section of the dashboard, providing a stable base for navigating. To our delight, it works flawlessly and we've also found it makes an excellent phone stand indoors. The stand features adjustable stand-offs on the back, allowing for optimal airflow around the phone to prevent overheating issues. This thoughtful design ensures your device stays cool even during extended use. Note that the illustrated assembly diagram above is intended solely to showcase the completed product, not to depict its actual dimensions or functionality. The stand leg protrudes through the base in this representation because it's designed to swivel, offering two different angles for optimal viewing comfort. Additionally, the leg can be trimmed shorter if a more level mount angle is preferred.
