I have an issue on and off that depending on my fridge's mood it will sometimes fill the pitcher and other times be annoying and not fill. I think I figured out the solution. The fridge sensor seems good, so I think it is the magnetic pitcher sensor not sensing the pitcher. There is a magnet in the lid of the pitcher that the fridge senses and knows that it can look to fill the pitcher. I tested this by inserting the pitcher and slightly lifting the back of the lid so that it is closer to the top of the pitcher dock. Once I closed the door I heard the fridge filling the pitcher within ~15 seconds. For a long-term fix I made a 3D printed shim to offset the lit about 1-2mm higher. Also, you could probably add a magnet to the inside or outside of the lid instead.
