I wasn't shelling out top dollar for a brand-new door switch, not when you consider it's essentially just a cheap plastic part. Nylon stands out as the one material that can withstand the rigors of daily use without breaking down. ABS, on the other hand, is far too flimsy and prone to deformation from even moderate heat exposure, while PLA is basically useless in this application due to its tendency to warp under temperature fluctuations.
