Samsung Clothes Washer Anti-Leak Drip Bin

Samsung washers have this unique “feature" whereby it will randomly eject water out the vent/exhaust port.

I know what your thinking… Why not FIX the washer so it doesn't leak. Well yes, except that the washer doesn't leak 99% of the time. But one out of 60+ washes, perhaps due to other users overloading it, or not remembering the clean the filter, or whatever random bad day this washer has, it does leak.

I've traced the source of the water to this overflow/vent and that seems to be where it's coming from, a quick search of the Internet confirms I'm not the only one with this random problem. So, instead of some water on the floor, which trips my leak sensor, and shuts off the whole-house water supply - I came up with this, water is contained in the bin and can be mopped up with a towel, sponge, or the wet/dry vac.

I considered making a version with a flag and a float that would rise up above the back of the washer to indicate if the bin was full or not, but I instead decided to leave some holes on the corners where I could cable tie another leak sensor rope or wires in the future.

Simply slide this under the factory vent and attach by driving some small screws through the two side tabs (better to pre-drill the factory tabs so you don't split the plastic)
