Samsonite Luggage - Handle Bar Guide
thingiverse
The Samsonite luggage handle is made up of several parts. If you disassemble it, you will see a long rod that travels from the handle and through the tube that runs into the suite case. If you remove the metal rod, you will see a small black guide attached to the bottom. This can easily be removed from the rod. This black guide holds the rod and guides it through the tube. When you press the button on the handle, it pushes the rod down, which pushes this guide down, unlocking the tube allowing you to shorten or extend the tube. The 3D part attached to this post is the black guide that goes to the bottom of the metal rod. The metal rod should be about 0.11" or 2.8mm in diameter. The black guide is a replica of the original that came with the suitcase. The opening on the guide is about 3mm in diameter and reduces down to 2.87 mm. If you need a replacement rod, good luck. They are hard to find. I found one here though. https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/128/4134 Part Number: 8890K142 it will be too long, just cut it down to size. I forget the exact length and my suitcase is already closed up. If you have one working side, then you can compare it to that.
