I personally crafted this axe for competition purposes, wanting anyone else attempting its reproduction to reach out to me. I aimed to create an innovative felling axe by combining opposing designs: a traditional wedge grind on one side and a modern, hollow-like grinding reminiscent of ancient Viking axes on the other. In my design process, the handle's unique aspect was incorporating a composite material achieved by melting HDPE plastic and injecting it into a specially crafted mold, effectively infusing it with a resilient durability while adhering to a natural shape that maximizes user control.
