sample system (3d print and video)
grabcad
In this project, I repurposed an old toy to create a robot that utilizes two vibration motors for sorting and organizing purposes. The first Proof of Concept video demonstrates the organization capabilities, while the second showcases the sorting functionality. The shovel, equipped with vibrations, efficiently selects stones or dust and swiftly searches the ground. By placing stones initially and subsequently filling gaps with dust through vibration, the container is optimally utilized. A camera can be mounted on the robotic arm to observe samples in real-time as they are collected. The 3D printed components use PLA, which melts at 100°C, though its negative temperature resistance remains unknown. The chosen container dimensions (4.8 cm diameter and 5.73 cm height) satisfy the requirements.
