Sample spool, remixed for the Malyan 180 and similar clones
thingiverse
Based on Wodllod's innovative design, this remix has been optimized to seamlessly integrate with the Malyan 180 (and other clones sharing similar design principles). This revised version eliminates the need for a bearing and instead can be securely positioned against the spool bracers that come with the m180. The arms have been scaled down and refined to be more narrow, addressing two key issues encountered with Wodllod's original version: the tendency of the arms to get caught on the bars holding the spool pins in place and the inability to accommodate tightly wound filament samples. You can freely combine this remix's base with Wodllod's arms or vice versa, depending on your specific needs. To assemble this design, you will require: 1x Spool Base 3x Spool Arm 3x Screws and matching nuts (I used 4-40x1/2s due to availability; however, the holes are 4mm in diameter, making M3 and potentially M4 compatible) Edit: I've added an extended arm suitable for use with PushPlastics loose coils.
