Sample filament holder
pinshape
I purchased the push plastics sample pack, which came with a spool that had a diameter larger than standard. I didn't want the ends coming loose, so I used an old 0.5 kg Monoprice spool to hold them in place. This was a quick fix and not ideal, but it got the job done. However, it's far from perfect and needs significant improvement. Use this at your own risk. To prepare for printing, place all the 'combs' close together on the spool, lay the filament across them, and then slide the spools apart. I'm currently using a sideways spool holder (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:508896), which requires a spacer to fit properly. Unfortunately, I encountered an issue where the filament would catch when printing from the top two levels, so I had to flip the setup and rearrange the holder to ensure I was printing from the middle or bottom layers.
