I recently acquired my new S6 device, which sparked an idea in me to create a customized case instead of buying one off the shelf. To give it that extra special touch, I decided to use Sainsmart TPU filament, a highly flexible and reasonably priced material ideal for creating phone cases - some manufacturers reportedly utilize it too. To perfect my design, I printed out several sections beforehand, fine-tuning them until I was confident about the layout, including all the necessary holes and buttons. Despite its stringiness, this particular material excelled in layer bonding - the best outcome I've ever seen so far. If you'd like to get creative, consider adding your own design to the back panel as an optional feature. A companion print is planned for future release along with this one. Instructions are as follows: Using my E3D hotend, these print settings were used: Hotend temperature at 250C Bed temperature of 60C Perimeters printed at 25-45 mm/s Cooling fan's impact seems relatively insignificant in this case. 0.1 and 0.2mm layer heights were chosen, though I wouldn't recommend going any higher than that due to potential issues. For support material slicing, Kisslicer was used at an angle of 61 degrees with a gap width of 0.5mm. Key points: Printing too close to the bed on the first layer or moving too quickly can cause bunched-up extruder materials - try and avoid it for the best results.
