A basic saltwater distiller utilizes a cone-shaped top, functioning as a magnifying lens to heat the contained seawater. Burnable materials underneath the main base can also be used for heating purposes. As saltwater evaporates into vapor, it condenses on the conical surface; purified water then flows downward and is collected in a separate compartment due to gravity. Impurities such as salt remain in the original basin. This efficient design accommodates varying scales of usage.
