Salt Cellar
thingiverse
This is for my breakfast boiled eggs. I needed something more precise than my big salt jar in the kitchen for the table. So I created this, with a simple shape and an aperture just large enough to allow a few grains to trickle out. Perfect for my breakfast boiled eggs, perfect if you're trying to reduce your sodium intake. Printer Settings Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 20% Notes: I printed this in PLA on a glass bed, extruder at 200°C, and bed at 60°C. Assembly After printing, you'll likely find the stopper is a bit tight, don't force it, work it in and out a few times until it turns all the way freely. How It Was Designed I used Fusion 360 to create this, sketching a simple conic curve and revolving it 360°. I then extruded a base with a 15mm hole, made a thread in it, M15x1mm. Next, I added a 2mm hole on center, all the way through so the salt can get out (very important!). Then I sketched a 15mm diameter circle and extruded it to make the plug, threading it the same as the hole. A few chamfers and fillets, and it was ready to print.
