Salt and Pepper Puzzle (SAPP) - Part 1

Part 1 of a two part puzzle. A salt and pepper shaker. Each part can be solved separately. This part is a pin in maze puzzle. Three parts are 3d printed and assembled. Then assembled into the salt shaker. Purchase these shakers possibly from amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09T9ZN7JJ/ Printing - All slicing done with prussa slicer, using default settings. 0.16 layer thickness, 205 print temp with 210 for first layer. I print on an FDM printer, a Creality CR-10. Sleeve is printed fairly simply, with minimal finishing of edge clean up. Pin is printed with full supports. Finishing is simple with clean up of the pin and face. A bit of sanding or filing is all you need. There is a pocket in the bottom of the pin which can fit The core prints with full supports and requires extensive clean up. I found using a small pair of snips worked best. Too much force could break something. Just realize there will be some time dedicated to cleanup on this part. Before assembly, you can make sure the pin moves smoothly thru the core and practice the puzzle while you can see it. It turned out much harder than I thought it would be for a person who had not seen it before. Assembly - Using clear gorilla glue and a small paintbrush brush a thin layer of the glue inside the sleeve and insert the core. clamp the core inside the sleeve so it doesn't wobble out while it sets. Keep your glue use minimal as you don't want a build up inside the pathway for the pin in the maze. Put glue in the shaker and you can eye it up and make sure you have enough in the bottom of the salt shaker to make contact with the sleeve. Clamp the assembled sleeve/core into the shaker while it sets. There will be a bit of a gap around the top of the sleeve and the edge of the shaker. Put a bit of glue in there just the fill the gap in case any one gets rough while solving it. You can glue the pin to the lid. I choose not to. The lid should screw on just fine and look normal. Solving - For some one who does not know what it looks like this turned out to be hard, though I meant it to be simple. There are false routes going up such that you can get stuck and need to descend a level to find a different route. I think maybe I might make another pin with some markings on it so people have a reference while solving that might make it easier. The pin does have a pocket for a single salt serving packet, so there is a reward for the effort. Resetting - very easy, there is only one route down, Rotating the core while putting gentle pressure pushing it down should seat it easily.
