Sally Face Gear Boy/Super Gear Boy
thingiverse
So my friend's nephew has been obsessed with playing the video game "Sally Face", and knowing I recently acquired a 3D printer, asked me if I could create a prop version of the Gear Boy for him. Initially it seemed like there weren't any free STLs available online, but then after reading the game's wiki, I discovered that the Gear Boy was visually inspired by the Sega Game Gear, and set out to find a 3D model of one of those iconic handheld consoles. I was fortunate to stumble upon one made by Jonathan Brazeau on GrabCad, who has kindly given me permission to share my usage of his design - his original can be found here: https://grabcad.com/library/sega-game-gear-1. After that, it was a straightforward process of creating the handles and the walkie talkie in Tinkercad, and adding a radio antenna I had lying around. Since my friend's nephew wanted to do the assembling and painting himself, I don't yet have a finished version of the prop, but I will update with pictures once he completes it.
