SaldoT Extruder
thingiverse
Take one part Airtripper extruder and one part JohannRocholl Kossel Mini extruder. Combine them skillfully to get the SaldoT extruder. No extra parts are required beyond those included in a standard Kossel Mini kit, utilizing the BOM from the Reprap wiki. I prefer Airtrippers design but since it won't fit on a geared Nema 17 motor and needs a larger ball bearing than the one provided with my Kossel mini kit, I decided to remix it by merging it with Johann's extruder design. Note: This setup is designed for a geared Nema 17 motor such as the ones sold by E3D; http://e3d-online.com/Electrical/Stepper-Motors/Geared-stepper-motor For a standard Nema 17, I suggest using Airtrippers original extruder. Added holder for a geared Nema 17 holder. Baseplate is circular to accommodate various mounting angles. Instructions I recommend printing with support at 30% (or 50%) infill and two shell layers. Components required in addition to the printed parts include: 1x 625 ball bearing, size 5x16x5 1x M5-0.8x20 Cap Screw 1x M5 Washer 4x M3-0.5x25 Cap Screw 2x M3-0.5x35 Cap Screw (or two M3-0.5x40 Cap Screws for rubber hose tension) Three M3 Hex Nuts (Nylock optional) Four M3 Washers These components are usually included with a Kossel Mini kit that utilizes the extruder as listed on the Reprap wiki. Typically, only three M3x35 Cap Screws are required to assemble the printer, so you should have at least one spare, since kits often ship with six M3x35 Cap Screws. Optionally, you can add a diesel hose for idler tension as described by Airtrippers. If so, you will need longer screws and two of the M3-0.5x35 Cap Screws must be replaced with two M3-0.5x40 Cap Screws.
