Sakura D5 Steering Bridge DDSS Servo Horn Adapter
thingiverse
Here is a DDSS (Direct Drive Steering System) adapter I came up with for the Sakura D5 (all versions). It is designed to be used with the stock or upgraded D5 steering bridge and is supposed to help reduce play in the steering rack and add some more rigidity to the steering system by eliminating the use of separate wipers, posts, and bearings which can have a bit of slop. This was designed to be used with the aluminum AGFRC 25T servo horn (as well as the unbranded imitations readily available on Amazon or Ebay). The interface is slotted so minor adjustments to ackerman is possible. You will need: 1 - Sakura D5 Steering bridge 1 - AGFRC style 25T Aluminum Servo Horn 1 - M3 x 6 button head screw 2 - M3 x 8 button head screws 2 - M3 x nuts (standard or nyloc) 3 - M3 washers Use the M3 x 8 screws, washers, and M3 nuts to attach the steering bridge to the adapter Use the M3 x 6 screw and washer to attach the servo horn to the adapter * NOTE: You may need to adjust the servo mounting height with appropriate sized M3 spacers to have the proper clearance in the bulkhead.
