Sako Quad 22lr Magazine
thingiverse
This is a fully functioning 5-round magazine for Sako Quad 22lr rifles. It's pretty much my attempt to recreate the original metal magazine to similar dimensions. The magazine works quite well, with no issues feeding or catching the round on my rifle (although I only have my own rifle to test). The final round can be a bit tricky to press in initially, but after a few times of using it eases up. All parts of the magazine can be printed with the exception of the spring. The spring I used is 50mm long, has a 6mm diameter, and a 0.6mm wire diameter. I got a pack of 10 from amazon here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B076LTYY5K?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details The plastic parts of the mag consist of the main walls(including the feed lips), the follower, a baseplate, and then two pins(one 4 and the other 6mm in diameter). These pins are used to lock the baseplate to the walls, which holds the spring against the follower. For assembly, it's pretty simple, insert the follower into the walls(matching up the groves in the wall to the holes in the sides of the follower). Put the spring into the cavity of the follower, then insert the baseplate lining up the rear pillar into the hole inside the rear of the walls. Once the baseplate is fully inserted you can pop the pins into the whole and you are good to go. Note the pins are slightly smaller than the holes in the mag walls and baseplate so they can be inserted. However, to get a tight fit so they don't fly out, I suggest playing with the scale of the pins and increasing them a bit so it's a snug fit.
