This is a remix of the outstanding Saitek Throttle Quadrant Reverse Gates from Russ Barlow. Kudos to Russ for crafting this exceptionally nice addon for the Saitek throttles! My mod (remix) adds ramps/tabs on both sides of each gate of all levers purely for visual appeal. You will need two wide ramps (tabs), and for the outsides, you will require two original narrower tabs from Russ' initial design. The modified gates have two protrusions to hook onto the tabs when not lifted up. The .stl file of the gate is rotated so if you print it in this orientation, the fingertab does not need any support and comes out smoother with a shorter print time as well. It will print support on the inside of the gate, but that is easily removable. (Especially if you increase the x/y and z support distance in the settings of your slicer software - I have 0.7 for x/y and 0.4 for z.) The springs in the picture are not required per se, as gravity works fine like Russ demonstrated in his YT video, but I prefer them because they add a bit more realism. Find some short springs (about 15mm high). It's okay if they're slightly undersized and won't fit over the levers, (as mine were) and use needle-nose pliers to slightly increase the diameter of the coils so they fit around the throttles without binding. Once again, a huge thank you to Russ Barlow for this and many other ingenious ideas and how-to's that make flightsimming more lifelike!
