Saisen Bako - Japanese Money Box
thingiverse
Human: A Saisen Bako is a large wooden coin box commonly seen in Japanese shrines right at the spot where people stand to pray. The design lets coins fall in easily, but makes them tough to get out. This money-box sized version of a Saisen Bako is smaller because a full size one would use too much filament. Characters on the front say "kaiun" (開運), meaning better fortune. The pieces fit very tightly, but you might need glue! Parts (4) ======== base.stl -------- Print this upside down on the print bed, needs supports. Go for 20-30% infill. body.stl -------- Print this upside down on the print bed, so the angled parts are pointing up, and shouldn't need supports if you handle overhangs well. Go for 20-30% infill. lid.stl ------- Print this with slats facing downwards on the print bed, shouldn't need supports. Suggest going for a decent infill so the slats are strong. stopper.stl --------- Print this with widest circle touching the print bed, needs supports. Suggest going for a decent infill so the tabs that hold it in place are strong.
