Saints Peter and Paul Garrison Church stands out as a beloved landmark in Lviv, known affectionately to its residents as the Jesuit Church. Constructed between 1610 and 1630, this stunning edifice embodies the early baroque style that dominated the beginning of the 17th century. Its striking resemblance to Rome's iconic Il Gesù Cathedral is undeniable, solidifying its position as one of Lviv's most breathtaking religious structures. In a grand ceremony held on December 6, 2011, the church was officially reopened to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Ukraine's Armed Forces. Archbishop and Metropolitan Ihor Voznyak, revered leader of the UGCC in Lviv, officiated the consecration ritual and led the first Divine Liturgy service, marking a momentous day for the community.
