Saintflint Extruder
thingiverse
This extruder isn't your mother's! Kidding, of course. The brainchild of some talented members from the QR community - Shauki B., Mauro Manco (Exilaus), Dale Dunn, Darkberg Aryavis (Flint Eastwood) and myself - comes together in a simple yet effective design. I simply tried to make it more visually appealing. The name is inspired by the ring that resembles an aureola, while the flint wheel of a lighter provides the necessary mechanism. Initially designed for a NEMA17 motor with 1.75mm filament, this extruder's greatest feature lies in its ability to almost lock itself onto the filament. Moreover, the forces applied on the stepper motor are perfectly balanced, cancelling each other out efficiently.
