The legendary SaintéLyon trail in France is one of the oldest and most iconic routes, attracting thousands of runners each year. The 2018 edition stood out for its record-breaking distance of 81km, making it the longest trail in history. As a first-time participant, I wanted to commemorate this incredible experience with a unique souvenir. To create this personalized trophy, I had access to the GPS profile of the course, which I printed on a sturdy support to display prominently on my computer screen. This custom-made trophy showcases the challenging elevation profile of the SaintéLyon trail, providing an unforgettable reminder of my journey from Saint-Etienne to Lyon, where runners faced treacherous terrain under the cover of night.
