Sainte Odile de Huy, Jan van Stefieswert Meuse Region, Maestricht, 1509 Walnut. Original Polychromy Signature and date on the base: IAN VAN WEERD 1509. Musée du Cinquantenaire (Brussels, Belgium). Created with ReMake and ReCap Pro from AutoDesk. Before restoration, an urn and the inscription 'St. Odile P.P.N' were found at the saint's feet. Restorers removed these items as they are newer. Sainte Odile de Huy was a patron against eye diseases. Jan van Stefieswert focused on the garment and jewels of this figure, giving it a more earthly character. He also detailed the back of the statue, down to its smallest aspect. Follow me on Twitter at @GeoffreyMarchal for updates.
