Saint Ursula, a long-lost altarpiece masterpiece, stands at an impressive 38 cm tall. Crafted from sturdy oak, the sculpture still retains faint hints of its former colorful grandeur. Its origins are shrouded in mystery, but experts believe it hails from southern Scandinavia, dating back to around 1500. The legend of Saint Ursula is one of bravery and faith: a princess who met her untimely end as a Christian martyr in Cologne, Germany, alongside an astonishing 11,000 virgin companions. This captivating sculpture beautifully captures the essence of Ursula's selfless act, depicting her gently gathering people beneath her cloak and offering them protection. Discovered in Saxtorp, Skåne, this priceless relic has been meticulously preserved for future generations to admire. The meticulous work of Historiska, Sweden's esteemed History Museum, brought this treasure to life through 3D scanning technology, courtesy of skilled Xenter 3D technician Midori Åstrand.
