This portal marks the apogee of roman languedocean art. The bas relief on the lateral walls, narrates the Apocalypse. The sculptor respected the Evangelic scriptures: Christ is decorated with Evangelic symbols. The lintel, decorated with roses, is standing up on a trumeau with lions. The two portals are decorated on one side with the prophet Isaiah and Jeremiah, on the other side with Peter and Paul. This all symbolizes the union between old and new Testament.
