This imposing stone sculpture brings Saint Martha to life. Originally displayed at the Church of San Fermo in Verona, it's believed to have been crafted by a master sculptor from Sant'Anastasia sometime in the 14th century before being relocated to The Museo di Castelvecchio. Martha of Bethany is a significant biblical figure mentioned in the Gospels of Luke and John. Alongside her siblings Lazarus and Mary of Bethany, she resided in the village of Bethany near Jerusalem, where she bore witness to Jesus' miraculous resurrection of her brother, Lazarus.
