This sculpture, originating from the church of Saint Giacomo in Lazzaro alla Tomba, Verona, was skillfully crafted by a master artist of Sant'Anastasia during the initial half of the 14th Century.\r\nThe work is part of a trio of sculptures, showcasing Saint John. Two other sculptures within the group (also available to download from Scan the World) portray The Madonna and Jesus, vividly illustrating the scene of Jesus dying on the crucifixion.
