The Federation for Tourism in the Province of Namur, as a member of the European Federation of St. James' Ways to Compostela, is partnering with the European project "Cosme - Loci Iacobi". The goal of this project is to create digital tools for valorizing this mythical path and making it more connected. This 16th-century wooden statue represents Saint-Jacques le Majeur, one of the twelve apostles, as the patron saint of pilgrims. Various characteristics allow attributing the work to the Master of Waha. In the Middle Ages, Namur was an important stopover for travelers heading to Compostela.
