This magnificent monument on Gellért Hill, crafted by renowned sculptor Nandor Wagner, boasts eight bronze statues that pay tribute to a diverse array of cultures and faiths from around the globe. At its center, five figures - Abraham, Echnaton, Jesus, Buddha, and Lao Tse - stand as powerful symbols representing the rich tapestry of human experience. Surrounding them are three other visionaries - Mahatma Gandhi, Daruma Taishi, and Saint Francis - whose lives and teachings have profoundly impacted humanity's spiritual journey. Together, these statues beautifully illustrate the evolution of human civilization and promote a deeper understanding among people from all walks of life. Three complete sets were meticulously crafted, with one destined for Japan, another for Hungary, and a final set for the USA. The Hungarian set was proudly unveiled in 2001.
