I've managed to resize the original files using Tinkercad, along with a spool of filament and a bit of magic. The resized files seem to be much larger and scale up properly together now. With a little adjustment, it should be pretty easy to tighten or loosen the parts depending on what you're looking for. I'd recommend adding supports due to some of the overhangs.
