Saint Anthony of Padua was a renowned Portuguese Catholic priest and Franciscan friar. Born as Fernando Martins de Bulhões in 1195, he rose to prominence for his captivating sermons and profound knowledge of scripture. This exceptional individual died on June 13, 1231, in Padua, Italy, after a life marked by devotion and spiritual growth. In recognition of his remarkable contributions, Anthony was canonized at an unprecedented rate, second only to Peter of Verona. He was officially designated as a Doctor of the Church on January 16, 1946. Today, he is revered as the patron saint of finding lost items or people.
