The budget-friendly spools are packed tightly, but some reviews mention issues with tangled filament due to this. A spool holder has been designed specifically for these cardboard spools, featuring a notch to accommodate the spool's plastic plug and a guard to prevent filament from falling off. It also includes a hook for other compatible spools and a machine-side clip with a barb for easy attachment. So far, this holder has successfully prevented tangling during printing on a new green spool at 15% infill and 120mm/sec speed. Although curling was present, it wasn't too severe, and using helper discs could help further. Installing the guard tab into the Replicator's slot may require light sanding for a snug fit.
