To prevent unsuccessful prints due to filament issues, I mounted my spool on a holder for smooth feed. The Printrbot Simple may require X or Y axis calibration adjustments with resistance; thus, I opted for no resistance from the filament roll. Cheap inline skate bearings found on eBay for under $4 delivered were ideal, with an outside diameter of 22mm. To secure them, electrical tape was wrapped around the spool holder and a drop of superglue sealed each bearing in place. Enjoy your improved printing experience!
