Sailing Compass Cover

Edit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/7pB6u12nGNm\r\n\r\nThe Aquameter A142 Saturn Bulkhead Compass gets its cover from this design. \r\n\r\nI printed it on a FlashForge Finder using PLA. The bed of the Finder is 140mm x 140mm, which is smaller than the model. I used the FlashPrint slicer to rotate the model 45 degrees, centered it, moved it 2mm on both the X and Y axes so that mostly non-important edges were outside the print area. Then I used the cutting tool on the X and Y axes at +70mm and -70mm to trim the model to the printing area. The results are in the picture.\r\n\r\nSupports are a must-have for this project. I used a brim to ensure the supports stuck, but that involved a lot of trimming with a razor afterwards, so I'd probably suggest a raft instead.
