Sailboat

It's not the most accurate model, but I decided to model a sailboat in Fusion 360. I grew up on sailboats and this has been sitting in the back of mind for awhile. This was a fun little quarantine project to make and print. I hope everyone who prints it likes it as well.

Print instructions

I had a bit of trouble getting the boat railings to print at the 100% scale. I think using a smaller nozzle might help or using a resin based printer (I have not tested these files on a resin printer so I don't know how they will print.) I scaled the boat and all of the pieces up to 150% to get the railings to print on my MK3s and that seemed to work alright for the railings.

I printed the boat without supports and the mast, boom, and sails all had supports. I included a 3mf file with all of the pieces in the orientation and scale that I printed them.

The fit for the Jib to the Mast is a bit tight. So be gentle trying to press the two together. I also used a bit of glue to hold the main sail to the mast.

Printed in PLA.
10% Infill
Supports on the Sails, Mast, and Boom
